Piano-heavy indie rock quartet WE SHOT THE MOON is hitting the road in support of their new release, A SILVER LINING, an infectious sophomore LP out November 17 on Minneapolis-based label Afternoon Records. The San Diego-based band will be coming to LOS ANGELES on SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 19 at the KNITTING FACTORY with Mansions and The Record Life supporting.
Led by former Waking Ashland frontman Jonathan Jones on vocals/piano, WE SHOT THE MOON–also comprised of Trevor Faris (drums), Adam Lovell (bass) and Jason De La Torre (guitar)–specializes in “quirky rock” according to Jones and possesses shades of Jack’s Mannequin, Coldplay, Switchfoot, Muse, and Weezer on A Silver Lining, the follow-up to 2008’s Fear and Love. Produced by Mike Green (Paramore, The Matches), the 11-track new disc includes the radio-ready opener “Miracle”, “In Good Time”, and “Amy” in addition to the first single “Red Night”, the edgiest song on the record. The band is offering early listens to the record by releasing it digitally October 6 before its physical release to stores.
